ARE YOU READY FOR THE SHOW?
A BRIEF HISTORY OF “THE SHOW”
THE SHOW formed when core members DINO “Da Pocketman” DeCOSTA, TOMMY GUNN and JAYAR MACK, all from rival bands back in Philadelphia, circa 1999, decided to take matters into their own hands and formed a band that possessed a tight rhythm section, world class vocals, and unmatched showmanship. However, prior musical and recording commitments to their respective bands temporarily delayed their project. At that point, the question was not “what if” but “when”.
Quickly upon completion of their individual projects, “the nonstop groove filled rhythm explosion” had come back on the scene with a vengeance, adding the paranormal talents of WILLIE “Koot” LEMMONS III on bass guitar, ELADIO “Speedy” GONZALEZ on percussion, JOE “Stretch” VINSON on guitars and vocals, and ERIC “Secret Weapon” MAURO on keyboards. The band occasionally extends to a 9-piece ensemble with horns, but the core remains the same. The sound is unmistakable, the musical depth is unfathomable, and the talent is undeniable.
This page is dedicated to a band who was once considered by many to be one of the greatest rhythm sections of the east coast, and is a testament to all past members of THE SHOW.
